Myrnaliz Rios
Certified Art Teacher and Studio Owner
Meet Myrnaliz, a versatile artist with a love for vibrant colors and bold expressions. Her expertise lies in drawing, printmaking, acrylic painting and mixed media, and she is known for her ability to inspire creativity in her students.
Myrnaliz Ríos was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She studied at the School of Fine Arts of Ponce, obtained a bachelor’s Degree in Humanities with a concentration in Fine Arts at the University of Puerto Rico and holds a master’s Degree in Printmaking from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She has participated in several collective art exhibitions in Puerto Rico and DC. She has been teaching visual arts for 25 years in all grade levels. She has worked as a Visual Arts teacher at middle and high school level at the Central Specialized School of Visual Arts in Santurce, PR from 2006 to 2017. Since 2018 is working as an art teacher in Raymond ES at District of Columbia Public schools at Washington DC. She is now the creative director and artist teacher of Pinturella Art Studio.
